The Glamour Women of the Year Awards, New York 2023

I’ve probably already said that I like Chloë Grace Moretz because of films like The Miseducation of Cameron Post, November Criminals, and others.

In the past, I had the feeling that some of her movies were somehow connected to who Chloë Grace Moretz is — to her identity itself. I don’t exactly know why, but Chloë Moretz was also the person who made me realize that movies can manifest in real life — that life itself can unfold like a Hollywood film.

There was something in her presence, in her essence, that made me see that my own life could feel like a movie, too.

I still believe that Chloë Moretz’s films are deeply connected to her personal identity. During a significant election period, Chloë Moretz spoke openly about her own identity — and in doing so, she expressed a kind of tension, a reflection on the possibilities of the future.
